My foremost daily objective is to provide the best possible moment for those visiting us. Over a meal, deals are done, and partnerships and anniversaries are celebrated, holidays enjoyed, or just an evening for two. Sitting across a table and enjoying a meal is, above all, a social occasion common to all civilizations. This led us to create differing areas, with distinct offers that are adaptable to the different moments and occasions of a lifetime.

Our team lives in a permanent creative process, our main challenge being to surprise our customers. The simplest meal may be the most innovatory. Creating and innovating is the fruit of our imagination and not the result of a complex machine.’

Paulo Pinto is the Executive Chef of Real Hotels, Lisbon. He began his professional activity in September 1984, working in several prestigious hotels and restaurants.

He attended the Chef de Cuisine course in the Estoril Higher Education Establishment for Hotel Management and Tourism (1995-96), and took part in several complementary training courses.

He also took part in several national and international competitions, of which the following stand out: Gold Medal as Captain and Coach in the Southern Europe Global Chef’s competition; Culinary Olympics – IKA 2008 – in Ehrfurt, as Captain and Coach of the Senior Portuguese Team, achieving 3 Bronze and 1 Silver Medal; World Culinary Competition - Mediterranean Culinary Challenge -, organized by the Cyprus Chefs Association, in 2008, as Captain of the Senior Team, winning two silver medals; Gold Diploma in the Fine Dining category in the Port Wine Competition, and Gold Medallist in the Toque D’Or Competition (1992); and many others.

In addition to the role performed as selector of Portugal’s culinary Olympics team, he regularly takes part in national and international gastronomic conferences and competitions as a jury member, and is a Member of the Board of the Portuguese Chef’s Association since 2002.
